Letter to the fellow parents at school

Dear fellow parents,

The parking lot at our children's school is small.  I drive a bigger SUV that cannot quite make those tight turns that your small cars can.  So when you park outside the school until the bell rings that means you are not only wasting time.  But you are also making it difficult for others to drop off their children as well.  If you are worried about the cold then please buy your kid a coat and a hat.  They will not develop some sort of freakish virus from being out in the cold for five minutes.  If you still feel like you NEED to protect them. Then PLEASE wait until the bell is about to ring and drop them off. Also don't drop off your kids in the middle of the driveway so you completely stop traffic. I am already not a morning person and you just sitting there makes my blood boil.

Thank you...
Sincerely,
The mom who is always wearing her pajamas.

Things I know for certain

When I wake up every morning I know at least three of these things will happen with the utmost certainty.

Someone will cry... For Connor it will be at least three times.
Someone will instigate the crying... Most likely culprit is his older brother Aidan.
If I mop the floor while Rowan is awake, he will walk on it.  Bless his little heart but for some reason he thinks it is the most awesome thing to take chairs out of a room.
Someone will make a mess, that I will have to clean up.  (this happens at least four or five times a day)

I will change a MINIMUM of three poopy diapers...
I will make lunch and someone will not like what I cooked and refuse to eat.
If the kids have a bath I will be soaked by the end of it.
I will always have laundry to do.

At some point in the day I will want to pull my hair out.
Yes these things I am confident will happen everyday.

Here is a list of things I did not expect.

We ran out of baby wipes.
Rowan making himself puke not once BUT TWICE!
Finding random toys in a laundry hamper.
Connor screaming while giving him a bath.

It is not all bad though.
Here is a GOOD list of things that will happen during the day.

Connor will stop crying and give hugs and kisses followed with an 'I love you'
If I don't feel like cooking my husband will do it for me.
He will also do the dishes.
At some point in the day my kids will get along.
I will hear laughter of my sweet little boys.
They will go to sleep.
And then I am reminded of why I do it.  Why I choose to be a stay at home mom.
It is for them.

Then at the end of the night he will rub my feet.  I love him, the kids, and the wonderful life we have together.

Who are you!!!

1. What is your favorite magazine?
I am a geek and love Family Circle.  I don't know why, maybe because it is cheap!
2. What color are your eyes?
I am his Brown Eyed Girl
3. Do you go to the dentist on a regular 6 month schedule, or do you put it off?
I put it off... I am bad at going to the dentist.
4. Do you use anything to make your house smell good?
ex: candles, spray,etc...
Yes I do.  I use Scentsy.

5. Do you have any pets? I have one doggy named Zazu (like the bird from the Lion King) We didn't name him.  We adopted him from a sweet family who was moving into University housing.

Ribbon Flower Wreath

I have been one busy little crafter this weekend.  I made a total of SEVEN projects.  Which probably makes my hubby really happy since I don't have random things lying around anymore.  I am not a cool kid and don't have a craft room.
Its more like a table...
In the laundry room...
Which is in the basement...
It's cold and lonely down there....

I learned how to make these ribbon flowers this weekend, however I have not been blessed with a little girl.  So hey why not make a wreath instead right???  Right???  Ya I thought so too!

Supplies:
Ribbon (I got five different patterns and colors)
Hot glue gun... don't forget the glue!
Rhinestones or buttons
Foam wreath

Cut all of your ribbon into about 6 inch strips.  Fold ribbon in half so that the pattern is on the inside and put a strip of hot glue.
Open up ribbon and take each end and fold into the center.

Make a total of four 'petals' Then dot hot glue onto the top of first ribbon and press another down as it making a plus sign. Make two of these.

Then glue both together and there it is!  Cute little flower~
Now simply place rhinestone or button in the middle.  At this point if you don't want to make it into a wreath you can glue a clip on the back and have a darling hair clip.
But I glued them all over this foam wreath and now have a very cute decoration for Spring.

Spring has Sprung! (well at my house)

I am done with Winter.  I am done with snow, rain, and cold days.  I am looking forward to warmer weather.  So I though maybe if I made some cute decor Mother Nature would get the hint and leave us poor Utahns alone!!!

Here is a sampling of what I have going on at my house.

I got these pinwheels at Hobby Lobby and curled some paper for a grass like feel.

I got this idea from my sister.  I painted the bird house and just painted a stencil on top of it.

 Cute tulip

 more cute tulips!!!

 See HINT HINT SPRING!!!! BLOOM!!!!

These little flowers are my favorite!  I adore how they turned out and they go so nicely with the little birds I picked up from Ben Franklin.

I also have a new wreath, I have a tutorial for it.  It will be on another post.

So wish with me and maybe it will actually act like Spring soon.

IN YOUR FACE WINTER!!!!

My PB Inspired Moss Letter

Oh look at me I finally posted something about crafting.  Like this isn't a craft blog or something.  Can I tell you that I think catalogs can be down right lame with the prices they put on items.  Take for example these adorable moss letters.

From Pottery Barn Catalog

Really they are quite adorable.  But $79.00, PER LETTER!!!  Get out of here!!!  I had to double check the price.  Who in their mind would PAY that price????  When you can make your own?  Crazy rich people that is who.  (sorry if you bought these)

I actually had some of this moss cloth lying around my craft area that I got last year for some AMAZING craft that I really don't remember.  Like most of the junk I have in there.

I bought a letter at the local Hobby Lobby which happened to be on sale.  I think they are always on sale they just want you to think you are getting this fantastic deal when in reality they should just lower the price.

I painted the sides of my letter a green tea color, so Earthy of me right?  I traced out the letter making sure I did it on the right side.  (yes I have done something like that before).

Hot glued my moss onto my letter and WOW I made my own.  Without paying $79.00!!!  more like $5.00.  Take that Pottery Barn!!!  With all your cute decor that I will never be able to afford!!!

Please ignore the ugly curtains that are in the background.  We rent and I still haven't replaced the curtain on the front door from when we move in... uhhh like 3 years ago...

UGGGGGHHH Not Easter decor!

Dear my one reader!  I love you, even if you don't read my posts.  It at least makes me feel like someone likes me. I just had to vent a little about Easter.  Now I love the whole purpose behind Easter.  But I 100% DESPISE the decor.  I hate the pastel eggs and little bunnies dancing around everywhere.  It is just gross.    So I boycott all Easter decorations, instead I am skipping to Spring.  Besides I can keep the stuff up longer if I do.  Please someone tell me that I am seriously not the only one in this boat.

sick baby = no fun

My youngest child, Rowan is sick...
With strep, pink eye, and some sort of virus.
Oh Spring where are you?
Oh Sanity you can come back too!

I really hope sometime this weekend I can craft I REALLY need it.
